Vaccinations

Vaccinations strengthen your dog’s immune system against diseases.

Vaccines are important, as we are all in this together to protect our dogs from the spread of disease. Vaccination can protect your healthy dog from diseases such as parvovirus, distemper, and leptospirosis which we see not only in canines, but as well in wildlife such as raccoons. Some of these diseases like leptospirosis can be passed to humans. Rabies as well, which fortunately we have very little cases of since we are required by law to vaccinate. Vaccinations do not only protect our canines, but as well as us humans.

What types of vaccinations do you offer for adult dogs?

Our core vaccines (necessary for all dogs) include distemper virus, adenovirus (hepatitis), parainfluenza, parvovirus and rabies. Our optional vaccines are dependent on the lifestyle and risk exposure of your pet include Bordetella (kennel cough) and leptospirosis.

Why is it important to vaccinate your dog?

It is important to vaccinate your dog to protect it from these potentially life-threatening illnesses. Although we have seen the prevalence of these diseases drop this is due to the efforts of vaccination. These infectious diseases still exist commonly in the wildlife population and can be transmissible to our family pets.

How much do dog vaccinations cost?

Please contact us to receive a quote for vaccinating your pet as it may vary depending on which vaccinations are required.
